Sammy Winward is an English actress, model and singer born on October 12, 1985 in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England. She studied at the Turton High School Media Arts College in Bromley Cross, South Turton. She is best known to television audiences as Katie Sugden from the popular soap opera Emmerdale.

While on Emmerdale, Sammy Winward dated co-star Kevin Fletcher, and later on became engaged with footballer David Dunn. They have a daughter named Mia, who was born in Edgworth, Lancashire. The couple however separated ways later on.

Sammy Winward also appeared on shows such as Orange Playlist, The Anthony Cotton Show, Soapstar Superstar and All Star Family Fortunes.

Aside from being an actress and model, Sammy Winward is also a professional singer.

Sammy Winward currently lives in Edgworth with her parents, and her daughter. She is at present dating Robin Hood star Jonas Armstrong. She is good friends with Lucy Pargeter and Georgia Slowe.
